On Friday and Saturday, we will be hosting exclusive factory tours as part of the Cadel Great Ocean Road Race weekend. Tours will run at 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM, and 3:00 PM, offering visitors a behind-the-scenes experience of Baum’s meticulous craftsmanship.
Explore our factory floor where the artistry of bike building comes to life. Witness our complete in-house paint workshop, observe our cutting-edge fitting studio, and see how our team brings together the perfect combination of Fit, Handling, Design, and Ride to create bespoke bicycles tailored to each rider.
This is your chance to see firsthand how our principles of simplicity and precision guide every step of our process. Whether you’re a long-time fan or new to Baum, you’ll gain a deeper appreciation for the skill and passion that goes into every frame.

Baum with Partington - Tour and Ride Experience
Extend your weekend with an unforgettable experience blending cycling, craftsmanship, and community.
Morning Coffee and Factory Tour at Baum
Start your Sunday at 7:30 AM with fresh coffee served by Patrick, our front-of-house manager and rockstar barista. Pair your coffee with a selection of pastries from our favourite local bakery as Darren leads an exclusive tour of our storied factory. Learn about the innovative processes, time-honoured techniques, and the steps we take to craft bicycles designed to elevate your ride.
We’d recommend bringing a second pair of shoes along with your cycling shoes. We’ll have bags available for you to store your cycling shoes safely.
Ride to Partington’s Manufacturing Facility
Following the factory tour, we’ll embark on a guided ride to Partington’s facility in Waurn Ponds.Known for their expertise in crafting some of the world’s most desirable wheels, Partington offers a rare glimpse into the precision engineering behind their lightweight, high-performance designs. This ride is fully supported, ensuring all participants can enjoy the journey at a comfortable pace. The route will be provided via Ride with GPS.
Workshop Barbecue and Men’s Race Viewing
After visiting Partington, we’ll ride back to the Geelong waterfront to celebrate with one of Baum’s legendary workshop barbecues. Enjoy the afternoon as we watch the thrilling conclusion of the men’s race. It’s the perfect way to cap off an incredible weekend of cycling.
