DBM

MTB DNA, Gravel Heart.

No turning back

The DBM is a devoted gravel bike with off-road capabilities that have been turned all the way up to eleven. We’ve drawn on all our experience building, riding, and racing MTB to create this monster so that you can ride into the wilderness without turning back.

In the simplest terms, we’ve mated the front end of a devoted gravel rig with the rear end of an XC bike so that we could capatilise on all of the benefits of 29-inch tyres that are up to 2.40 inches wide. The result can be considered a rowdy version of the Orbis X that is able to conquer the steep climbs and unpredictable rocky terrain that defines our local powerline rides.

Don’t dare call the DBM a drop-bar conversion, though. The fit and handling of this bike is comparable with the rest of our gravel bike family, while the ride quality and refinement of this titanium chassis are descended directly from the Orbis. The rest of the specs are up to you: choose your adventure and we’ll take care of the rest.

Clearance

29 x 2.25–2.40" tyres

If you’re drawn to steep climbs littered with rocks rather than pebbles and want to dominate unpredictable terrain, then bigger is better.

3D-printed yoke

We’ve created a new 3D-printed yoke that mates perfectly with a 92 mm T47 bottom bracket shell to provide all the clearance needed for XC-oriented tyres.

DBM Geometry

The DBM may look like an XC rig but don’t expect a slack head tube angle, steep seat tube angle, or a high bottom bracket for clearing obstacles. We just tweaked the geometry of the Orbis X to suit bigger tyres and the gnarliest gravel rides that we can imagine.
